Monday October 29th, The Sup Doc Podcast (“Sup Doc is a fun way to pore over docs” – Splitsider) releases a “Favorite Moments” show for their 100th episode! Hosted by comedians and documentary dorks Paco Romane and George Chen, Sup Doc is celebrating an incredible milestone that few twice-a-month documentary recap podcasts can match. From classic documentary canon to the latest streaming sensation, Sup Doc sifts through the sea of film and dissects each topic through a comedy lens. Boing Boing recently described Sup Doc as a “great idea for a podcast series – interviews with interesting people about their favorite documentaries.”

“Documentaries are really hot right now and finally getting the attention they deserve,” says co-host Paco Romane. “Our 100th episode drops on October 29th and we’re excited to present best of moments from episodes that truly showcase what our podcast is all about. We’re digging deep into our catalog and inviting everyone to listen.” Co-host George Chen added “documentaries are the new water cooler topic, and our show tries to hit the right tone of funny and thoughtful. Paco Romane is a comedian, actor, writer, voice-over artist, producer, improviser, and podcaster. Paco had been described as a “mashup of all things funny – stand up, sketch, improv, you name it”. He has appeared on Comedy Central, Drunk History, Nickelodeon, numerous national commercials, and films and wrote for the Gilbert Gottfried Roast, He’s also been a frequent guest on The Todd Glass Show! Paco was twice been voted “Best Comedian in San Francisco” by the SF Weekly and SF Bay Guardian.

George Chen is a Los Angeles-based comedian and former musician who has appeared at the Sled Island Festival in Calgary, San Francisco Sketchfest, Put Your Hands Together, and The Comedy Comedy Festival. He was part of the team that built the winning Comedy Hack Day app EquiTable and has appeared on HBO’s Looking.
